Doll-A-Day 2017 #149:Moxie Girlz Holiday Lexa

We're down to the wire on these Goodwill dolls. Only a few more left.Today's doll from the hauls is this girl.

She's wearing her original dress and boots.
She's missing her leggings though. She is actually standing on her own, by the way. No extra supports.

She's Moxie Girlz Lexa from the Holiday series.

Her dress has a red tulle underskirt. I'veseen pictures of these dolls with white boots too.

She seems to have some fabric paint in her hair. I'm hoping it will come out.Maybe boiling water will soften it? Anybody?
Moxie Girlz are made by MGA, the same company that makes Bratz. The Bratz below was part of the Goodwill haul.

I don't like Bratz(As I've said, except for a genie and the Bratzillaz.), but I wanted the Moxie Girlz clothes she was wearing. She's been redressed in Bratz clothes from the bag of clothes I got.
The feet on Moxie Girlz are removable, like Bratz feet.

Moxie foot and leg peg on the left, Bratz on the right.

The two are not compatible though. The pegs on the Moxies' legs are slightly smaller than the Bratz ones. So no foot/shoe sharing.
I like Moxie Girlz, especially the dark haired and red haired ones.

Tomorrow? More Goodwill haul!Only two more days of dolls from the haul!

Doll-A-Day 2017 #148 My Scene Nolee?

We're almost through all the dolls I got at one Goodwill in that one week. Today's doll from the hauls is this girl.

She's a My Scene doll. I think she's Nolee, but if anybody knows for sure, please let me know

My Scene dolls had big lips, but they didn't look as sleazy and over made up as the Bratz dolls.

This one has long straight black hair. There are little side bangs hiding in there too, but they are kind of blended in with the other hair.

My Scene dolls were a Barbie sideline, so they had the standard Barbie body of the day. They came with the usual tiny Barbie feet, but oversized shoes to make their feet look big. This was a good thing, because if you happened to not have My Scene shoes: A.Your doll still has feet, and B. She can wear regular Barbie shoes.

She was wearing the High School Musical Gabriella shirt and some Ken jeans when I got her. This shirt is kind of boring and, ironically, I think this is a Bratz skirt. The jacket is maybe Liv? All these clothes came in the bag of clothes I got in the haul. I will change her clothes at some point, but for now,at least she's not naked.

The jacket is cool, but needs one sleeve repaired.

There are those bangs.

She has a very pale complexion.

See? That skirt is way too short.

Tomorrow we'll see some of  the last dolls from the haul.

Doll-A-Day 2017 #147: Shrunken Saturday: Apple Dumpling

This week's Shrunken Saturday doll is not part of the recent Goodwill hauls. She's this tiny girl.

This is Apple dumpling, sister of Strawberry Shortcake.

This particular version of Apple Dumpling was made by Bandai in 2002.

She was part of a two pack called Berry Sweet Sisters, which contained both Apple Dumpling and Strawberry Shortcake.

I have this Strawberry Shortcake too,or at least her clothes.

She's only 3" tall.

She comes in her dress, undies, hat, socks, and shoes, which are all removeable.

Her hat has a red ribbon ties.

Her hat and dress are printed with apples.

She is supposed to have an apple scent, but mine seems to have lost hers. I think the older Strawberry Shortcake dolls have held their scent a lot better than the newer ones. I wonder if  modern chemical regulations have anything to do with that.
She's posing with the wild strawberries that are everywhere in my yard. (Although this is the edge of my neighbours' yard, that borders my driveway. These aren't my crazy neighbours. These people mind their own business. These wild strawberries are inedible. I had always thought they were poisonous until recently. It turns out that they are not poisonous, just unappetizing! In spite of their alluring and tasty looking bright red colour, they have no smell or taste! All the edible strawberries, that I paid money for when one of the kids was selling them for school, died off long ago. The useless wild ones just keep proliferating.
Come back tomorrow and see what doll we are concentrating on then.

Doll-A-Day 2017 #146: La Dee Da City Girl Dee

Today's doll(s) is the other La Dee Da from the Goodwill haul. She's City girl Dee.

Yesterday's La Dee Da was Cyanne as Peppermint Pose.  She was one La Dee Da I especially liked and would have considered buying new. City Girl was the other one! How lucky was this!

My red roses are blooming.

This girl came with her dress, but there was another City Girl who was wearing the Monster High mummy outfit.

The dressed one is missing her red jacket and shoes, but she has that dress I love.

And of course those spindly little arms.

The dress has a city scape on it.

A cartoony city,but still.

And Dee's dog 'Bun'.
The dress has a drawstring that turns it into a bubble dress.

Pull the ribbon and the dress goes from this...

...to this;

At the beginning of this post I mentioned that today's doll was doll(s). That's because there was also this girl at Goodwill.

She was wearing something that was way too big for her,so she's naked until I find her something else.
Does anybody know which La Dee Da doll she is?

The red roses are almost all I have left, since my crazy neighbors killed off my huge pink rose bush that had been here since the 1940's.

The red ones are tiny and not very full and rose shaped. They don't smell as strongly as my pink ones did either. Still,I love roses, and these are about all I have left,so I appreciate them very much.
Tomorrow is Shrunken Saturday. Check back for the tiny doll of the week.

Doll-A-Day 2017 #145: La Dee Da Cyanne as Peppermint Pose Sweet Party

I'm posting this a little early since I'll be busy all day. My best friend,Lori, had her heart ablation on Wednesday and I spent the day hanging out at the hospital, keeping her company, something I have had to do way more than I would have liked the last couple of years. We were told the ablation went well, so hopefully this will take care of her heart problems and she can get back to normal. Today she'll be going home ffrom the hospital, so I'll probably be running her home. It's also Ivy's last day of school for this year, and we have an appointment to celebrate with a grilled cheese sandwich,(her) and a soy cheeseburger(me),Rally fries, and chocolate milkshakes, using our old fashioned soda shop style milkshake glasses and our red and white striped vintage style paper straws.
And today it's back to the Goodwill hauls from a lucky week I had recently. Today we're seeing a La Dee Da doll.

She's Cyanne as Peppermint Pose.

Even her eyes are swirly, like mints.

She's from the Sweet Party line, like another La Dee Da doll I featured recently, Dee as Dots of Style. You can see Dee HERE.

I featured another La Dee Da as doll of the day back during the first year of Doll-A-Day. she was Cotton Candy Crush Tylie, and you can see her day HERE. Back then I mentioned one La Dee Da I would really want:This one! I felt really lucky when I found her, especially as complete as she is.

She has her complete original outfit, except for the shoes.

These are some rather extravagant looking Barbie shoes with molded roses and other details.
These shoes are way too big on her tiny feet, but they look alright.

Her dress has a big peppermint on the waistband.

There are more peppermints on her ponytailers.

And her hair is peppermint striped too.

As with my other La Dee Da dolls, she has very weak knees and a head the pulls her over when she tries to stand.

Standing requires a prop of some sort,and/or a lot of leaning.

The arms and legs can at least go out to the side, as well as up and down.

Plus she has that cute face.

With pink freckles!
You can see Cyanne as Peppermint Rose on the La Dee Da home page HERE.

Tomorrow we'll see another La Dee Da from the haul.
