The End of A Girl For All Time.

Just a quick post to let everyone know that A Girl For All Time is going out of business. The website doesn't seem to say anything about that, but just shows a seasonal 50% off sale. However, the Facebook page has this message from company founder Frances:

Hi @everyone -
As many of you know, I launched A Girl for All Time twelve years ago with one goal in mind: to provide high-quality, educational toys and products for children that would encourage learning, exploration and imagination.
I am very proud of what we have accomplished since then: over 20 industry awards for design and quality, retail shelf space in Harrods, Hamleys, and FAO Schwartz, and an online presence with Target, Walmart, and Amazon, plus dozens of independent retailers across the USA and Europe.
We managed to survive Brexit and the Pandemic. We pivoted, we planned, and we innovated.
As a family-run, boutique business, these milestones have been significant. Unfortunately, the recent turbulence in the US market with tariffs and taxes means we cannot rely on consistent policy for imports into the USA, which is our biggest market. Shipping rates have been affected as well, making the entire supply chain untenable.
So it is with a heavy heart that we are letting all of our customers know that our USA website will close at the end of the month.
We still have some stock left in the US warehouse, so if you want to take advantage of our deep discounts and get a few last items while they are still in the warehouse, I would encourage you to do that soon.
A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us over the last twelve years. It has meant the world to our small team!
Hoping we meet again soon and we can relaunch when things stabilise in the world market.
Frances

So maybe they are still in business overseas? (They're based in England.) But more likely they have gone out of business altogether, since the U.S. was their 'biggest market'.  It's a shame, because they had nice dolls and very good quality products. You might have seen my review of my AGFAT doll Clementine, and her beautiful coat. The website discount seems to be 50% off everything, but a lot of things are already sold out.

I wish good luck to Frances in the future. She's a nice lady who had an interesting line of dolls and accessories. I like the dolls much better than American Girl, but that's just my opinion. Don't attack me!
