Doll-A-Day 2017 #269: Takara Part 2: Licca Chan's Boyfriend? Isamu?

  Yesterday we saw the Licca Chan doll I got at the flea market on Saturday. Today we're looking at the doll I got with her.

He has a Takara tag on his shirt.

His rather strangely fitting shirt.

I think he's Licca Chan's boyfriend.

But which boyfriend? If I'm not mistaken, the name of Licca Chan's boyfriend has changed over the years. I think this one is Isamu. If anybody knows this one's name for sure, please let me know.

 The tags on both dolls said 'Takara early 80's.'

This guy stands just short of 10 1/2" tall.

He has bendy legs and arms, and a twist waist, like yesterday's Licca Chan.

 

Like Licca Chan, he has his original clothes, but no shoes.

His shirt Velcros in the back.

His pants have an elastic waist.

As photogenic as they were separately, they were much more photogenic together.

Licca Chan has side glance eyes, but this guy looks straight ahead.

Doll-A-Day 2017 #268: Takara Part 1: Licca Chan?

  Today's doll is one I found at the flea market on Saturday.

I think she's Licca Chan,but if anybody knows different,please let me know.

The tag that was on her from the dealer said 'early 80's Takara'.

I can't find any markings on her head or body, but she has this tag on her dress.

She measures just short of 9" tall.

She has bendy arms and legs and a twist waist.

She's a pretty little girl.

I'm wondering if she had earrings, or if the hole is just standard in the mold.

This is her original dress. I'm glad she had her clothes, even if she is missing her shoes,because usually when I have found Takara dolls they have been naked.

She's an odd size compared to most of the dolls I have,so I'm not sure what I would have put on her. Skipper clothes maybe?

You have to love her red hair and dark eyes. It's not a common combo in dolls, as I have mentioned before.
