I think she's Licca Chan, but if anybody knows different, please let me know.
The tag that was on her from the dealer said 'early 80's Takara'.
I can't find any markings on her head or body, but she has this tag on her dress.
She measures just short of 9" tall.
She has bendy arms and legs and a twist waist.
She's a pretty little girl.
I'm wondering if she had earrings, or if the hole is just standard in the mold. |
This is her original dress. I'm glad she had her clothes, even if she is missing her shoes, because usually when I have found Takara dolls they have been naked.
She's an odd size compared to most of the dolls I have,so I'm not sure what I would have put on her. Skipper clothes maybe?
Tomorrow we'll see the doll I bought with her.
Yeah, I think she's Gen 3 Licca. I know Tomy sold Licca chan in America as "Lisa" but it was in limited quantities so it wasn't far spread as other import dolls....
ReplyDeleteSo I'm not clear. Does that make her Licca or Lisa?
DeleteShe's definitely a Licca. The Lisa marketed to the American consumers doesn't have bangs, her hair is just parted straight down the middle.
DeleteThe picture on the dress tag is definitely the Takara logo. Don't have time to look into it properly but from the shape of her mouth, I'd guesstimate she's a 3rd generation Licca.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Another reader said 3rd generation too,so we'll go with that.
DeleteI am 99% positive that this is indeed Licca-chan, and a pretty one. I don't know what to tell you about shoes, but I've heard that Blythe clothes fit. The Blythe dress I have fits my Licca loosely, so be careful when searching for clothes. She's a knockout!
ReplyDeleteThat would make sense.I said Skipper, and I know people put Skipper clothes on Blythe.
DeleteI think that Licca might fit Skipper clothes, or they might be too big/loose. She fits a T-shirt that came with Mary Kate/Ashley. She fits clothes that came on Juku Couture dolls. She fits Great Shape Skippers clothes (tights are a bit loose), so maybe she fits Stacie clothes. She even fits a Barbie skirt that I tried on her. And then many Etsy shops sell clothes made for Licca.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't thought about Mary Kate and Ashley. I bet the one size of those is about the same.
