Happy Anniversary to Us, A Girl For All Time, and More Stuff

Wednesday Ken and I had our 26th anniversary.

Ken and I a couple of months before we were married, 26 years ago. Please ignore my sunburned nose. We had just spent a lot of time in the sun, taking Cheryl all over Ohio and Canada, when she visited from England in 1989.
(You may have read the story of how Ken and I became a couple when I posted on our anniversary a couple of years ago.)We spent some time out with Emma while Ivy was in school, and had lunch at The Cheesecake Factory. ( Garlic Mozzarella bread and avocado egg rolls!). We also stopped at the Disney Store on the way home. I found these goodies on clearance:

I love the faces and the colouring on the Tinkerbelle and friends.

We intended to have dinner with Ivy, Fuzz, and Fuzz's girlfriend, but only Ivy ended up being able to come with us. I was still fairly full from lunch, but eating is Ken's thing, so we had dinner out, with Ivy, at a local restaurant. I brought home part of my eggplant parmesan and spaghetti.
As I said in my post the other day, I finally broke down and ordered an A Girl For All Time Clementine doll. Well she arrived the other day, so I'll be posting my review of her soon. I also made some interesting yard sale finds this week, and I'll be showing you some of those.

  1. Wow, 26 of marriage is something, congratulation and best wishes :) Also, you have PRETTY and I mean it- PRETTY hair on this pic.

I like Vidia and Fawn (both dolls) faires, those less articulated dolls are able to be transplanted to EAH bodies.

    1. Well thank you very much, for the wishes and the compliment. (Although I have to admit my curl is from artificial sources. My hair is naturally very straight.)
Videa and Rosetta are my favourites.

  2. My youngest loved Disney Fairies. She has a doll set similar to the one you have; I think hers has another fairy or two.

You and your husband look cute together! Happy anniversary!

    2. I did indeed read your other post! And I meant to ask, does your hubby still have his Yorkshire accent?
Nothing very interesting but the very first time I went to the US, Seal Beach in California to be exact, in 1982, I met and fell madly in love with a guy from Halifax, W.Yorkshire, he was working for Boeing I think it was.....we had a 'romance by letter' for a couple of years before we both 'moved on'.....told you it wasn't interesting! He ended up marrying a girl from Belize and still lives in CA, in a place called Irvine....and I moved to Spain!

    3. Yours was a nice romantic story, only without the 'happy ending' I was expecting! Yes, Ken still has his Yorkshire accent, but it's not as strong as it started out. A lot of people still have trouble understanding him though! I never did, but then, I was used to my friend Jenny, whose accent far surpasses Ken's! Ken's sisters, who live in England, have much stronger accents than he does. When we were visiting, he started to pick up more of an accent just before we left. I think if we had stayed much longer he would have gotten a lot of his accent back. Just last week we went to two yard sales in one day where the ladies that were running the sale just gushed over his accent. The running joke is people saying they could "listen to (him) talk all day". I always joke and say, "That's because you don't have to!"
