Who remembers the TV show "Blossom"? Today's doll is a character from that show. She's 'Six LeMuere'.
The TV series "Blossom" starred Mayim Bialik, still enjoying the success of her star making role as the younger version of Bette Midler, in the movie "Beaches" in 1988. "Blossom" premiered in 1990. The character Blossom, played by Bialik, was a 15 year old girl, with a musician father, two older brothers, Anthony and Joey, and a best friend named 'Six'. The show ran for 5 years, and the popularity of the show and its young stars of course warranted the production of dolls! The dolls were produced by Tyco in 1993. There were three dolls made: Blossom, Joey, and Six.
The Six doll is not a terrible likeness of actress Jenna von Oy, who played Six.
In fact, all the dolls were fairly good likenesses. Six and Blossom are about 9 inches tall, with Joey being a bit taller. All the dolls came with extra clothes. The girls both ad hats, which the characters were famous for wearing.
