Doll-A-Day 2017 #101: Fashion Fever Modern Trends Ken/Blaine

  Today's doll is this guy.

He's the 2006 Fashion Fever Modern Trends Ken.

The shirt and necklace are original.

But these are different jeans and shoes.

I got mine second hand, so he wasn't in a box. But his box didn't actually have a name on it,and some people call him Blaine.

Blaine was the only guy in the Generation Girls line. There was only one Generation Girl Blaine, and there was never another Blaine in another line either,as far as I know.

This guy is unique looking. He has that same Ken face, but that hair sets him apart.

He doesn't really appeal to me alot, but he's different.

Tomorrow is another doll. See you then.

  1. Barbie broke up with Ken in 2004 so most of the male dolls between 2004-2007 were either nameless or Barbie's new boyfriend, Blaine. So it's understandable that any nameless male dolls with this sculpt would be labelled Blaine.

    1. Good point.I forgot about the Ken drought of the early 2000's. But his box doesn't actually bear a name. Just a point.

  2. The Cali girl line had a good looking Blaine and a curly haired, somewhat doofy looking, Ken doll.

    1. I have that Cali Girl Ken. While it's not my favourite face, ('doofylooking' is a pretty good description!),I loved the curly hair. Maybe it's because I'm married to a curly haired, somewhat doofy looking Ken! Cali Girl Ken was supposed to be the last Ken produced,as he was being dropped from the line. Luckily for sentimental people like me, he came back after a few years.
