Doll-A-Day 2019 #311: A Doll (and a Necklace!) of My Own making

I did Emma's radio show with her tonight. We did a birthday show for Ivy, playing a bunch of Ivy's favourite songs, and some that had to do with things she said or did when she was little. I was so tired and preoccupied with all the stuff I have to do, that I didn't say much, but I did think of a lot of the songs to use. I wasn't totally worthless.
  Today's doll is another of Ivy's, but she's also one I made,and she's a necklace.

She's only a couple of inches tall.

Like the other dolls of this type that I made, she has a wooden head and a felt covered wire armature,so she is bendable and posable.

The main difference between this doll and the others like this that I have made,is that she has painted hair.

I made her for Ivy when she was little. I also made her a wooden bead bracelet that was all little heads. She had me make one for her best friend too. I wonder what ever happened to that? I wonder what ever happened to Ivys! I haven't come across it yet.
That's the doll for today. Tomorrow I drive to Indiana to bring Ivy home for the weekend. There will still be a doll tomorrow though. See you then.

  2. That is such a cute little doll necklace that you made, I think they're so sweet and clever. I'd never have thought of putting a little doll on a necklace :) But a great present for a doll lover.

    1. Thank you! Have you seen the other necklace I made? I sold her on Etsy. You can see her post at http://planetofthedolls.blogspot.com/2019/06/doll-day-2019-162-doll-of-my-own-making.html

    2. Oh yes! I went to look and saw that I had definitely seen it (as I had commented) but hadn't remembered, obviously! That was posted on my birthday!
      Another cutie for sure!

    2. I posted a link on one of your homemade doll posts. I think it was Patty? April 29, 2019. Anyway, it was some of my smallest crochet dolls. I think my favorite of yours is still the ice skater in the pink dress.

    3. I'll have to take a look. The skater is Emma's favourite too.
