Doll-A-Day 2017 #249: Levi's Rag Doll Boy

A while back I showed you a little Levi's rag doll girl.

(You can see that post  and learn about Levi Strauss, the first person to make blue jeans,HERE.) At the time I said that I had found several of the female Levi's dolls, but I had almost never found a male. Well at some point after that, guess what I found? This guy!

He is, of course, the male Levi's doll. The Levi's dolls were made in the 70's.

The Levi's dolls came in 2 or 3 different sizes. This particular guy is the 10" version.

They were made by Knickerbocker,at the time the makers of Raggedy Ann and Andy.

He has yarn hair, like the other Levi's dolls.

His vest is removable.

It has an official Levi's snap.

But his shirt is part of his body.

His nose is a rivet, like in the jeans.

His little shoes are part of his feet.

He has mitteny hands.

Tomorrow we'll check out another doll.

  1. Now these are cute! I never would've thought to make a doll out of blue jeans.

  2. Oh my gosh! I had one of these growing up. The one with red hair.

  3. My mother gave me the boy doll (because I was a boy) and I loved it...I saw it as a soft action figure (which are really dolls)...

    1. It doesn't matter what you call it. All that matters is if you enjoy having it. Your mom must have seen something in that little guy that she knew you'd love.

  4. These are so cute! I had Raggedy Anne and Andy, but none of these. I didn't even know they existed until you showed us the girl.

    1. I think we have a different size boy somewhere too. I'll have to show him some day.
