Doll-A-Day 2019 #339: Stardoll

Today we're looking at another doll of Ivy's. Ivy's birthday month of dolls was last month, but I came across this doll a couple of days ago and thought everybody would enjoy seeing her.

She's a Stardoll.

This doll is from 2011.

Stardolls were made by Mattel and were actually called Stardoll by Barbie. They had different head sculpts than Barbie and friends though...I think.

This is her original dress She originally also had a short, white jacket and tights with hearts on them, along with black heels.

Unfortunately I found the tights after taking her photos!!

She has very long legs and long, straight arms.

Stardolls aren't very posable. The legs don't bend. They're are jointed at the hip,but they hardly move. The arms do move out to the sides as well as up and down though.

But Stardolls were very pretty and unique looking. She has beautiful rooted eyelashes.

Stardolls came with a stand that said Stardoll on it. I have a couple of Stardolls too. You can them HERE and HERE.

That's the doll for today.Tomorrow we'll see another one.

  3. I like the Stardolls, but they definitely needed better articulation. You can be gorgeous and still move!

    1. Yes. These dolls were all about looks, and they do look good. But that doesn't make it easy for kids to play with them.
