Doll-A-Day 2019 #356: Christmas Barbies

The girls and I went Christmas shopping today, mainly to Grampa's Cheesebarn to pick up a few 'cheesy comestibles'. After staying up VERY late last night finishing the review of Maru and Friends new boy doll,Coy,I'm going with a simple post today. When I went through some of our old doll show tubs recently,I came across a bunch of Holiday and winter themed Barbie dolls. I thought it was a good time to show them to you. And remember, these dolls are all available if you spot one you like! I need the space!
First of all are these Christmas Barbies.

Holiday Treats Barbie from 1997,1994's Caroling Fun Barbie, and Holiday Dreams Barbie from 1994.

These dolls are all play dolls that were often available at grocery stores and discount stores around the holiday season.

The other two aren't that common to find around here, but I find Caroling Fun's clothes, at least, all the time.

Holiday Treats was also available as an African American...

...and the hardest to find version, the brunette.

Her box says 'Fiesta',so you know she's...Hispanic?

The next two dolls were sold by Hallmark.

Holiday Sensation Barbie was sold in 1998. She's dressed and coiffed like a 1940's lady. She was part of the 'Holiday Homecoming series'. Many of the holiday Barbies that Hallmark produced were part of that series.

She has the beautiful Mackie face sculpt.
Victorian Elegance Barbie was sold by Hallmark in 1994.

Winter Princess Barbie was made in 1993. She wasn't specifically a Holiday Barbie, but she was a 'big dress' Barbie, clothed for Winter,so that gets her in this post

She was the first,I believe, in the series of Winter Princess Barbie dolls.

Those are today's dolls. I'll see you tomorrow for the next doll.

Doll-A-Day 2019 #34: Holiday Visions Winter Fantasy Barbie...or is that the other way around?

It was pointed out by one of our readers,(Thank you Dorothy.), that this is Black History Month. (Somehow I thought that was last month.) I was going to save this doll for December.around Christmas, but when I was reminded of that,(and since I need to have some posts done up ahead because I'll be busy the next few days!)I changed my mind. Today's doll is this beautiful lady.

She's Winter Fantasy Barbie.

She was the first released in the 'Holiday Visions Barbie' series. Or is that the other way around? Is it the Holiday Visions Barbie, from the Winter Fantasy series? The box doesn't really make that clear.

The box, which Ivy got out for me to show you, has really pretty silver trees in it.

You can even see them from the back of the box too, because there is a window in the back, as well as the front.

This is another one of Ivy's dolls, which she brought out for me before she left for college. I think she bought her at a doll auction.

She looks like a snow queen more than a Christmas doll.

She was released in 2003.

Ivy has kept her displayed in her box, so she still looks very nice.

Her dress is velvety, with faux fur trim and 'silver' jewelry.

Her medallion has Barbie's silhouette on it. Or, as Ivy used to say when she was tiny, a 'silver wet'.

She has a silver tiara and frosty eye shadow and lips.
Her belt is attached to her dress to make it hang in swoops.

The underskirt is lacey fabric flecked with silver glitter, making it look icy.

That's all for today. Tomorrow we start a 'mini series'. See you then for another doll.

Doll-A-Day 2017 #149:Moxie Girlz Holiday Lexa

We're down to the wire on these Goodwill dolls. Only a few more left.Today's doll from the hauls is this girl.

She's wearing her original dress and boots.
She's missing her leggings though. She is actually standing on her own, by the way. No extra supports.

She's Moxie Girlz Lexa from the Holiday series.

Her dress has a red tulle underskirt. I'veseen pictures of these dolls with white boots too.

She seems to have some fabric paint in her hair. I'm hoping it will come out.Maybe boiling water will soften it? Anybody?
Moxie Girlz are made by MGA, the same company that makes Bratz. The Bratz below was part of the Goodwill haul.

I don't like Bratz(As I've said, except for a genie and the Bratzillaz.), but I wanted the Moxie Girlz clothes she was wearing. She's been redressed in Bratz clothes from the bag of clothes I got.
The feet on Moxie Girlz are removable, like Bratz feet.

Moxie foot and leg peg on the left, Bratz on the right.

The two are not compatible though. The pegs on the Moxies' legs are slightly smaller than the Bratz ones. So no foot/shoe sharing.
I like Moxie Girlz, especially the dark haired and red haired ones.

Tomorrow? More Goodwill haul!Only two more days of dolls from the haul!
