Doll-A-Day 256: Ratti Blonde doll

A quick post today as I am still trying to figure out how to work with my new tablet. I am hopelessly untechnological, and I'm hving a terrible time! Also, I spent my free time today working on a review you'll be seeing in a couple of days, so I didn't have much time for another doll.
Today's doll is one I hope someone can help me identify. She's a Ratti doll, but I don't know her name.
She has interesting blue sleep eyes and very pink skin.

If you look closely you can see that she has very faint blue eye shadow.
Her hair is a very pale blonde with a warmness to the colour.

She's made in Italy.

I'm not sure if this is her original dress, but it fits her well.
The dress almost seems too young for her mature looking face.
It's a very thin fabric and has seen better days.

The shoes fit perfectly. The dark stuff on her feet does clean off, which I didn't find out until I took the pictures. She's still in the clean up stage.

She's fairly tall, around 20 to 22  inches tall.

Anybody recognize her?
  Tomorrow is another doll.

Doll-A-Day 108: Flirty Christina by Ratti

Today's doll is, according to the paper that was pinned to her dress when I got her,Flirty Christina by Ratti.
Like my new bench? I just got it at Goodwill on Wednesday.
The 'flirty' refers to the fact that she has 'flirty eyes', that can roll from side to side when her head is tilted.

She's 16 or 18 inches tall.(I'm too lazy to go measure her.)

She's a strung doll, so you can tilt her head in lots of cute poses.

Her stringing is a bit loose though, so she can't stand up by herself. She could use a restringing.

If I can't stand up I'll just lay zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...
I really like her, but she has her faults. She seems to be made of a gray plastic that has been painted with a flesh coloured paint. This means the paint has a tendency to flake off. Poor Christina has some problems already with her feet and hands.
Notice she has a little friend. The bee in front of her chest visited during her photo shoot.
I don't know if the dress is original, and I'm pretty sure the hat's not, but they both look nice on her.

I'm getting Pauline Collins from this picture.

Pauline Collins in Wodehouse Playhouse.
Some of you younger people, or those less familiar with older British television may know Pauline Collins more like this.

Pauline Collins as Queen Victoria in Doctor Who.

And here are some more pictures, just because she's so pretty.

I had never seen or heard of Flirty Christina before I got her in an auction lot, but I'm glad to have her. I like her very much, and I don't have any other dolls like her.
See you tomorrow for Skipper Saturday.

Doll-A-Day, Day 9 : Ratti Tjorven doll

The doll for today is this girl.

.
I still can't completely make up my mind about her. Is she just too cute?

Or is she really creeping me out?

Wanna come to my house?

I don't know alot about her. I think she's from the early to mid sixties, and she was made by Ratti, an Italian doll company.I don't know her real name. I call her Creepy Ratti doll. If anybody knows her real name, please let me know. I know there was a doll with this face and blonde hair called Mary, (the doll, not the hair...) and a Pippi Longstocking with this face, red hair, and pigtails.I don't know if 'Mary' just came in various hair colours, or if all the different colours had different names.

I know where you live...
She's about 12" tall, and has inset sleep eyes and 'real' lashes. I'm pretty positive this is her original outfit. Her mouth is molded in an open position and she has molded, painted teeth.
I got her at an auction where I got LOADS of Italian dolls of various brands. Most were from this same era, or close to it. For example, I got several Furga S girls, etc. I got so many Italian dolls, just so many dolls in general. You may have read here before about the auction where I got so many dolls I am still trying to get rid of the last of them. Well that was her auction.I was literally having dreams where I was sorting through Italian dolls. More like nightmares really.Too many dolls! (Never thought I'd say that.)
The creepy thing about her is her eyes, combined with the weird smile. You may have read me say that I like dolls with teeth. Well I do. Maybe these teeth wouldn't be quite so weird if they were all painted white. But these teeth have pink from her mouth paint on them. Looks like gums and makes her smile weirder.
Her eyes look kind of like they would be the type that follow you but they're not...thank goodness!

So far I like her enough to keep her. The kids say she's not nearly as creepy as my Baby See N Say.
UPDATE: Thanks to a recent comment I now know that this is a Tjorven doll. See the comments for details. Thanks Alice!
