Doll-A-Day 168: Klm Airlines Doll

  Today's doll is this Klm airlines doll.

 These dolls were produced for lot of different airline companies, using the same doll in the different airline uniforms.

They were made by Optimum, using the same body and a similar head to the Mary Quant Daisy doll.

Mary Quant in the 60's in a dress she designed.

Mary Quant is a fashion designer who is attributed with the invention of the mini skirt, hot pants,(basically very short shorts.),patterned tights, and according to her, the duvet.

The model Twiggy, (Right.) helped popularize the Mary Quant look in the 60's.

This doll is for Dutch Airlines.

  She's 9" tall. She should have a hat and the shoe that fell off somewhere, but otherwise she's complete.

She has the same style shoes as the Daisy doll too.

Her outift has a vest as well as a blouse and jacket.

Ken collects advertising stuff, so this was a doll I kept on his behalf.
