I've shown you a couple pf Yummiland dolls before. You can see them HERE and HERE.

Yummiland dolls like this one are 5" tall, although there were bigger ones.

This girl is very similar to one of the other Yummiland dolls I posted, with her fur stole.

She's from the same series,Ice Cream Soda Pop dolls.

Her name is Oriana Orange Creme.

There's another doll coming up! Check out the next post.

Doll-A-Day 2017 #58: Rainbow Ripple Renee

Not long ago I showed you a tiny Yummi Land doll. (You can see that post HERE.)In researching to find out which doll she was I came across a picture of another doll I have that I hadn't yet identified. It was today's doll. She's a Yummi Land Ice Cream Pop Girls doll,Rainbow Ripple Renee!

Phew! That's alot of names.

Renee is one of the larger, 12" Yummi Land dolls.

She has a large head and big eyes.

She also has some red ink marks on her face and lots on her lips. Can anybody offer any suggestions on removing them? I'm not totally averse to trying a total repaint on her, so if it involves some pretty drastic measures I still might go for it.I have used Mr.Clean Magic eraser on other things, and ,maybe it's me, but I can't get them to do anything. Also, this red is soaked into the vinyl,so it's no longer a surface problem.
She's the only one of these dolls I've ever come across, which is why I didn't know who she was when I found her. As I've said before, I never saw the little ones in stores either.
She originally came in this dress, tall orange boots, and a strange hat.

(I borrowed this picture from a sales site, and I will be glad to remove it if asked.) I guess the hat fits her or the penguin.
She also came in a large pop bottle, had a pet penguin, and they were both scented.(Renee and the penguin that is, not Renee and the bottle.)

Her arms and legs are soft rubber, and can't hold a pose.

Her left leg is made with a slight bend in it.

Her head only turns side to side, without any up or down movement. But her arms and legs move out to the sides, as well as up and down.

Her hair was very ratty when I bought her at the thrift store. It was pretty hard to get smoothed out, even after washing and soaking it in conditioner overnight.(I don't do Downy,or any softener, because I don't like the smell and don't use it on my laundry either.I have had pretty good luck with human conditioner on dolls, although sometimes I have to use the heavy duty stuff for extra dry hair.I find it works best if you comb the hair while the conditioner is still in, and then rinse in extra warm water.)

It's still a little crispy.

And still a little damp. I guess my living room is too cold to dry very wet doll hair overnight.

Earlier I couldn't keep the internet on for more than a few seconds, or minutes if I was lucky,at a time. Now it seems to be ok. Come back tomorrow and see if I managed to get a doll posted!

Doll-A-Day 2017 #42, Shrunken Saturday: Priscilla Vanilla Creme Yummi Land Doll

Today's Shrunken Saturday doll is this girl.

She's 5" tall.

She's Priscilla Vanilla Creme, from the Creme Soda Pop series of  Yummi Land dolls.
I think her sparkly lips look a little crusty.

I've shown you a Yummi Land doll before. You can see her HERE.

Yummi Land dolls came in a plastic bottle.
Her little cape is not attached to her dress.
Priscilla originally had a little top hat perched on her head. She also came with a pet,a brush, and a purse that looks like an ice cream sundae. Her pet came in it's own bottle.

These small ones are 5" tall, but there was also a series of 11" dolls,a series of Littlest Pet Shop sized pets, and a series of small pets.

Her shoes are molded.

The pets are super cute. In fact, I like them better than the dolls. One of these days I'll do a post on the pets.

These dolls were made by MGA,who also make Bratz and Moxie Girlz. Can you tell?

Her hair is super long, and fairly smooth and easy to comb.

My other Yummi Land doll has silky hair too, so fortunately this seems to be a trait, not a fluke.

See you for another doll tomorrow.

Doll-A-Day 263: Yummi Land Doll Chelsea Cherry Lynn

Today's doll is a Yummi Land doll.
Sorry about the focus. It was too wet to get down to her level!

Her name is Cherry Chelsea Lynn. These dolls came in bottles, like pop bottles.
She has sparkly eye shadow, and lips too.

They were scented.
She should be cherry scented, but I don't smell anything.

There were different series, like Soda Pop Girls, Ice Cream Pop Girls, Flower Pop Girls, Sundae Pop Girls, and Candy Pop Girls.Chelsea Cherry Lynn is a Soda Pop doll.

The holes in her feet must be for a stand. She can't stand on her own due to her big head and tiny feet.

This doll is about 5" tall, but there were also 11" tall dolls, and tiny pets.

These dolls were made by MGA, who also make Bratz and Moxie Girlz. That explains the big head.

She needs a little clean up. She has a yellow mark  on her face. A bit of nail polish remover should take care of that.

She kind of reminds me of the Lemon Head Kelly dolls.

She has a cute little dress with built in red tulle underskirt.

Her shoes are molded on.

Her hair is thick and silky, with lots of curl.

Here's a closer look at her 'do.

These dolls were made several years ago, but I don't remember them being in the stores. Ivy was very into Kelly dolls, so I'm surprised we didn't see them. Even now, I rarely come across them at yard sales or thrift stores. I found this girl a few weeks ago at a garage sale here in town. I liked her bright red lips and her overall colouring and silky, curly hair. Her price was pretty good too. She was a quarter.

  See you tomorrow.
