Doll-A-Day 2023 # 211: Spot Splatter Splash LaLaoopsy

Today's doll is from a line we haven't looked at for a long time. I still love them though. And she has a pet too, like yesterday's girl. She's a Lalaoopsy.

She's about 9 inches tall.

Specifically, she's Spot Splatter Splash. The story on her box says she 'was once a rag doll who magically came to life when her very last stitch was sewn.' 'Super creative and loves bright colors, big messes and eating spaghetti.'

She has the typical Lalaoopsy button eyes and stitched facial features.

She even has stitched in detail to her printed curls.

According to her original box, she was sewn on October 25th, from painter's pants, and is 'Creative 'n' colorful'.

Since she was sewn from painter's pants, she has paint splashes on her clothes.

The back of her dress has a place for her owner to write their name.

Lalaoopsy dolls were made by MGA Entertainment, who also made Bratz, Diva Starz, and Moxie Girlz. (They sure did like to spell things with a Z.) These days they have had a success with Rainbow High dolls. (Not RainbowZ. You're slipping MGA.)

She has cute printed boots, since she's a plush version, and not one of the vinyl ones.

She also has a pet zebra, as she is from a series that all had pets. The others in the series were Jewel Sparkles and her cat, Peanut Big Top and her elephant, and Patch Treasurechest and his parrot.

He's a cute little guy, also with paint splatters and button eyes.

But while her button eyes are plastic, his button eyes are stitched.

That's today's doll. See you again tomorrow.

Doll-A-Day 2017 #132: Jewel Sparkles and Tippy Tumbelina

More of the never ending Goodwill haul! Today's doll is two:these two Lalaoopsey plush dolls.

The larger one,who is winking is Jewel Sparkles from the Sew Silly Chatters series.

Being part of the Sew Silly Chatters series means she's a talking doll.

Maybe that's why her mouth is open.
She has a handle pull string in her back that activates her voice.

I love her printed and embroidered hair. She's not much of a stander. Her legs can't hold her up.Her little printed shoes are actually printed with soles too.

Her slightly smaller friend is Tippy Tumbelina.

Tippy has  the same printed and embroidered hair, but she doesn't talk.

Her fishnet tights and ballerina slippers are printed on,as is the tulle underskirt.

The outer tulle is real. In case anybody forgets, or she gets lost, she has a heart on her bottom on which to write the name of her owner.

These are my first lalaoopsey plush dolls. While I like them, and it's nice to have them, I don't feel the need to have any more. These will do.
Tomorrow is Shrunken Saturday, and we'll see some small dolls from the haul. See you then.
