Doll-a-Day 2023 #341: Fail Fix Doll by DanceStylz

Today's doll is a mystery to me. She kind of looks like the Fresh Dolls, but I'm not sure who she is.

****UPDATE**** Everybody except me knew this was a Fail Fix doll! I saw the Fail Fix dolls in the store when they came out. I guess they just didn't make an impression on me. The theme was a doll with a lot of problems with their appearance, and you were supposed to give them a makeover. This girl needs another makeover, because that hair looks pretty knotted!

She has a cute face, with inset eyes and three dimensional molded eyelashes.

She's marked 'Moose China'.

She has molded on undies.

She's wearing a football jersey that says '98 Grl Pwr'.

As you can see she has jointed wrists.

She has high top tennis shoes that are split up the back for easy on and off. She doesn't have jointed ankles though.

I think these are her hair di dads. They match her outfit.

She has a lot of hair, in tiny braids. She's pretty articulated, and can pose well. Her head doesn't tilt at all, but she's jointed at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, and knees.

So she can sit  very well.

Those eyes are interesting. I've never seen any like them before.

Looks like she had earrings.

She's about 10 inches tall.

I'm not sure if her hair is supposed to be up like that or not. It looks like I might make a mess of it if I took it down.

That's today's doll. See you again tomorrow.

Doll-A-Day 2023 #16: Coty Girl

Today's doll is another freebie! She's being offered for free by her original owner, who is just trying to find good homes for her childhood dolls. She offered to ship them to me for nothing, but obviously I can't take any dolls in right now. So if any of you are interested in any of her dolls, (This is number four, out of five.), leave a comment with your contact information, which I won't publish, and I will put you in contact with the owner.  Now to the doll!

  This doll is Coty Girl.

  She was made by  Arranbee.

She does have some hair loss in the back of her head.

I know it's marked circle P, but oddly enough, that's Arranbee, also known as R&B. (That isn't alphabetically correct, but you can see where they get it, because it sounds like 'Arranbee'.)

She's 10 Inches tall, a competitor for Little Miss Revlon,

Coty is a 'beauty company', like Revlon, founded in 1904. The doll was made to promote the make-up line. She was first produced in 1957.

She still has one of her earrings, and she comes with this wardrobe.

Hats! Amongst other things. But, HATS!

That's the doll for today. I'm still about a week behind, but I didn't want to flood everybody with posts once I felt up to doing them. I'll catch up slowly. As for how I'm feeling, I feel much better. I saw my ear, nose, and throat doctor on Friday, and he said I had swelling and inflammation in my lungs/airways, whatever, and he started me on steroids to help with that. I am also, ironically, pain free at the moment! No back ache, no leg or hip aches. I feel physically great, except for the breathing stuff. Mentally though, I'm a shambles.

Tomorrow we'll look at the last free doll. For a while at least. I may want to give some dolls away at some point too.

Doll-A-Day 2019 230: Paradise Kids Girl

I have been home by myself when Ken goes to work for three days now. As I told Ivy yesterday, I was already talking to myself and the cats way to much by the day after I dropped her off. More proof that it's a good thing I never lived alone. It's a good thing I'm starting on a makeover of Ivy's room soon. It will keep me busy. I'll still be talking to myself, but it will keep me busy.
Today's doll is the other one I bought at Goodwill in Indiana. She might look a little familiar to you. She did to me.

When I saw her I recognized the face right away. It wasn't her I had seen that face on. It was another doll you may have seen on this blog.

You can see her Day HERE.
The new doll has more detailed eyebrows, darker lips, and less realistic eyes.
The new doll is smaller than the other doll though. While the first doll measures about 12 inches tall, this girl must be her younger sister. She's only 10 inches tall.

The shirt is probably from a High School Musical doll. She had to borrow it because she was topless.

I think these are her original pants, but they don't fit her very well. They barely Velcro in the back.

And the belt was cut. Good thing she's not a real person, because at this point she could not keep her pants up.

They're Paradise Kids dolls. The new girl is marked 2011.

Like the other Paradise Kids doll, she has long, skinny, straight arms.

Her legs bend, but not a lot.

As you can see, that shirt is a little too big for her! The front of that shirt is empty.
Her long, pale blonde hair has a small ponytail on the right side, just like the taller girl.

You can see my other Paradise Kids doll,(the brunette),on her Day,HERE.

That's the doll for today.

Tomorrow we'll look at another one.
