Doll-A-Day 2023 #29: Luisa

   Today's doll is Luisa, from "Encanto".

  This is the doll Emma was after when she bought the Walmart exclusive set of four dolls from "Encanto". 

Luisa was 'the strong sister'. She's a large doll. She's at least 12 inches tall, and much larger in the body than Curvy Barbie.

She has cute freckles.

  Her eyebrows are two types of 'hair'. There is a brown line. but also individual darker strokes.

  Her hair has a braid, a bun in the back, and little curls around her face.

  She has the usual points of articulation: neck  shoulders, and hips. But in addition to being able to move her arms and legs back and forth, she can also move them outward.

 

 The stitching and lacing on her blouse is printed on.

As is the 'embroidery' on her skirt.

  Like the other dolls in the set, she has cute little shoes.

That are open in the back for easy on/off.

  Her bracelets are molded as part of her arms.

But at least she doesn't have webbed fingers like Isabela.

 And she has molded on earrings.

 Since Luisa's hair is up, I spotted the Disney copyright on her neck.

   That's today's doll. Tomorrow we'll look at the last doll in this set, and that doll just might be my favourite.
