Today's doll is Winston Torres.
Winston is about 10 inches tall, but not Barbie scale. |
I haven't seen the show, but I thought Winston was cute, and he was clearanced for $5.
I love his blob of curly hair.
The rooted hair is only on top. The rest is molded and painted.
He comes with a video camera.
I thought all kids just used their phones for that these days.
Winston has one hand molded specifically for holding the camera.
And a bent arm, which should help him get the camera to his eye.
But although he can hold it, he can't hold it straight, as if he were looking through it and using it.
Maybe he's supposed to put his hand in the hole in the bottom of the camera. But that would be stupid when he has a handle on it to hold it realistically.
The clothes he is wearing have a printed pattern.
He has some crazy plaid pants.
His shirt closes in back with velcro.
He also wears some bright blue shoes.
He has the standard five points of articulation: neck, shoulders, and hips. But in addition to being able to move his arms back and forth, he can also move them out to the sides.
That's the doll for today. See you tomorrow for another one.
