Last day before the wedding! We're all still working on various projects. My dress still hasn't been doctored!
Today's doll is a beautiful Furga doll.
She's wearing her original outfit, minus the mob type cap with big organdy ties, that goes under her hat. She also had a white parasol.
This doll was made by Furga, an Italian company. You can see more Furga dolls by clicking 'Furga doll' in the sidebar.
She is about 22 inches tall. She has a really striking face.
Her hair is dark auburn. Very pretty, but I resisted any temptation to buy her.
This doll was at one of the recent doll shows. I have more Furga dolls that weren't at the doll shows, but, instead, in my storage, which you may have seen this week. If this doll put you in a Furga mood, the others are available to buy, (Please!) Check them out, by going to the three previous posts, or by clicking on 'Furga doll' in the side bar, and if you're interested, leave a comment on their post with your contact information. See you tomorrow.
Another charming doll. Her eyes are "Furga" blue but they look less brilliant than those of the other dolls. Also they look kind of large for the eye socket. Maybe she was made at a different time.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear about the wedding!
I have a doll which is labeled Furga on the next but cannot seem to locate it online. Do you happen to know where I could find out more information? She is brunette with blue eyes and wearing a white dress with red polkadots.
ReplyDeleteThere's the doll reference page: https://www.dollreference.com/furga_luigi_dolls.html But they don't have a lot of info on the dolls, because there are so many. I found a couple that fit your description. Could your doll be one of these? https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/furga-vintage-18-doll-carmen-32026-490063314
