Doll-A-Day 2019 #126: Bisque Dollhouse Girl

Today's doll is a little dollhouse girl.

She stands about 3 and a half inches tall.

Based on her hair style and clothes,I would say she's from the 1920's or early 1930's.

She kind of reminds me of Mary Ann  Jackson, who appeared in the Our Gang comedies,(otherwise known as The Little Rascals), from 1928 to 1931.

She has a short little bob just like Mary Ann.

This kid gets into everything!

Come back here! We're not done yet!

That's better. Have a chocolate.
"Ooh!"

With the addition of some pointed bangs.

Her dress is sort of the style that would have been worn in Mary Ann's Our Gang days too.

The pretty little dress has silk bows at the shoulders.

She's bisque, but a very smooth bisque. I hate the creepy feeling rough bisque.

She has little painted on anklets.

Her shoes have a slight heel.
Although her head, arms, and legs are bisque...

...but I'm not sure about her body. It feels firm, but she has linen underwear that seems to be part of her body.

Her body is probably bisque and just has sewn on underwear. But her dress is sewn to the underwear, which doesn't allow her dress to be lifted up enough to see.

In any case, her legs move a little back and forth, but only slightly forward.

And not enough to actually sit down.

Her arms are attached with wire.

They move back and forth freely.

I got this doll in an auction ,lot with my little maid, and the boy and twin girls. You may have seen them in other posts HERE, HERE, and HERE.

Ok. We're done now. Now you can go.

That's today's doll. Tomorrow we'll see another doll. See you then!

    1. The lamb lives in the side 'yard' of my dollhouse and shows up in the dollhouse pictures occasionally. You might notice you never see the lamb from the other side. That's because something was broken off that side, and it shows.
